I currently own an i5-4460. Since the Intel prices are pretty high rn, I wanted to get a ryzen cpu. People suggested me the 1800x which I am satisfied with. But I dont know if I should get the 1800x even when I am not planning on OCing. Are there better alternatives for me? And is an msi b350 Gaming Pro good for the 1800x because of the fact that I dont want to OC.

Thanks for all the help

Yes the asus x370-f is a nicer board with a chipset and power delivery more designed for a 1sr generation ryzen 7 like an 1800x.
An rx480 may limit a ryzen cpu, but you would still see pretty good framerates in most games. If you cant afford an upgrade you will stil be happy with a 480.
For an upgrade I would reccomend an rtx 2060 since it performs like a 1070ti or closer to a gtx 1080 with features like rtx and a newer design.
Here is a list including some of the parts you had and some reccomendations.
Unfortunately the 1800x is double the money of the 1700x in the US for some reason right now so i put the simmilar performance 1700x in the build. The 1700x seems to be much cheaper in germany aswell so i would get that. If you are...
The Ryzen X-series CPUs are not necessarily for overclocking as they already come overclocked. If you wanted to overclock you might consider a non-X series that way you get more bang for your buck. While not the best motherboard for the 1800X, the B350 Gaming Pro should be fine.

If the Ryzen 7 2700X is cheaper than the 1800X then you should go with it instead. You will want/need a B450 motherboard for 2nd-gen Ryzen.

First, thank you for your reply.

A question to the motherboard. Which motherboards would be better than the B350 Gaming Pro and why? I am not really into motherboards, so I would like to understand why one motherboard would be better than another one.

Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) underneat the heatsinks around the CPU are bigger and better on other motherboards. The B350 Gaming Pro is better than some, but not as good as others. Dont' get me wrong the B350 Gaming Pro is as good as any other in its price range up to and over $100. You know what? I was thinking the 1800X used more power and heat than the 2700X. Turns out I had that backwards. The B350 Gaming Pro should be fine especially if you aren't overclocking.

All the ryzen CPUs are Overclockable 'X' in ryzen means that there frequency is higher than the non X CPU.

So, Asus ROG Strix X370-F Gaming > b350 pro ?
and I still dont know what gpu I could get. I will have to upgrade my gpu because I have an rx 480 rn and it would bottleneck the ryzen cpu. I have read that the 1070ti is a good option but it's kind of expensive. Should I still get that card since it has a good synergy?
I can link u guys my parts I have right now that are in my mind (only upgrading these parts + gpu if I have to):

I have an 8gb 3200 ripjaws v kit working with my ryzen 3 1200 at rated speed but some people have reccomended avoiding ripjaws for 1st generation ryzen. Im not sure what is best. It has worked fine for me for over nearly 2 years at or above 3200mhz.
