I notice that after cleaning my gpu with canned air within hours dust is back on there and little bits of "debris" for lack of a better term. Little bits about the size of a ball point pen tip. Im sure its just dust and whatever else floats around homes but man does it bug me. Should I purchase a backplate? Will that solve the problem? If so is there anything I should know about materials that arent safe to use. I don't want to buy a backplate made of something that's going to fry my card. Its a gtx 1080 armor oc. I looked online and cant even find one that's name brand. Or is it just a waste of money if Im not water cooling?

Solution
Fan filters go on intake fans, since that's what's blowing the dust into your case in the first place. No need to filter it on the way out into your room.
A GPU backplate won't prevent dust from getting inside your case. What you need is fan filters to keep the dust out.

GPU backplates prevent the GPU PCB from sagging. Nothing to do with dust.
When I say dust I really mean the larger debris. I thought maybe it would fall onto the backplate. I do have one fan filter but my aio has two fans and I don't know how I would put a filter in between it and the back of my case. The only reason Im even concerned about it is that someone told me technically the small bits of debris and dust large enough, in one spot, could cause the heat to concentrate onto that one spot and cause damage. But Ive had this rig for a year and no issues with the gpu yet. I clean it once or twice a month and its not in a particularly dusty area.
