Should I get a Cooler

I have an i7 7700 and yesterday i was checking out my cpu temps and it went up to 93 degrees celsius. I went on amazon bought the 212x cooler and some arctic thermal paste do you think I made any damage to the cpu and will the cooler be enough (BTW im using a intel stock cooler)

Well firstly does the Stock cooler wiggle? (twist it left and right) If it does then it means that its not propetly mounted.
Second, does the stock cooler have aluminium core or copper core? If it has aluminium i would buy new cooler, if it has copper it should handle temps under 70*C.
Check in bios temperature.

I dont know if its copper or aluminium because i bought it pre built
