Question Should I get a GPU now or wait for 8000 series to come out?

I have $400 to $430 now to spend on a GPU, and I'd like to wait to see what the prices are for the 8000 series, but they say the new tariffs are going to effect computer parts a lot. I would hope that AMD would release the cards during CES, but I'm not sure that is going to happen, and I'm sure they'll release the 8700 at 500$ then increase the price late for the tariffs or start at an increased adjusted for the tariffs. Should I just buy the 7700xt now or wait?

Just as with every recent release of high end components, scalpers will reign supreme for a few months.

I'd not expect normal people to be able to get anything at a rational price until mid-year at the earliest.

The tariff situation is totally unknown.

If you have a need now and the budget, go ahead and buy now.
Price/performance will get better(otherwise introduce new products at all?)
If you wait for the next best thing, you will wait forever.
