Should I get a M.2 cooler?

Is it necessary? I'm getting 2 nvme M.2 drives (corsair mp500) and my board has 3 m.2 ports. 1 above the 1st pcie lane, 2nd between 1st and 2nd pcie lane, and 3rd below 3rd pcie lane. If I put the two m.2 drives in the 2nd and 3rd port, theres no need for the cooler, right?

Those are for m.2 expansion card, probably not going to fit the mobo m.2 slot

So are you using the pcie expandsion card, or using the mobo m.2 slot?

well, if i get the cooler, then pcie, otherwise i'll use the m.2 slot furthest away from the gpu
