Should i get a new CPU and MOBO?

Hey i was thinking of getting these

Right now i have a crappy alienware mini itx mobo from 2012 and a i3 2120

Yeah either the i5 or the i7 should do just fine. The i7 might be a bit more future proof as game start to use more threads(because of the consoles getting 8-core processors).

I would say so, but that is personal preference. It would be an slower and older 2c/4t to a faster and newer 4c/4t or 4c/8t so it depends on how important that upgrade is to you.

A i7 for gaming is a real overkill, also most stock i5 should be more than enough.

I would probably go with at least an H97 motherboard, but the MicroATX is a good idea because they are usually cheaper.
