Hi! I have an Intel Core i5 2320 3GHz in my computer. Is it worth to upgrade it to an Intel Core i5 4690K, keeping in mind that I'll also have to change the motherboard? How much of a performance gain will there be?

Why not an i7 3770 / i5 3570k? They are socket 1155 as well... They are ivy bridge chips and there is only about 5-7% difference between them and the newer devils canyon Haswell chips.

What is the make/model of your motherboard? I will check to see what the best it supports is.

If you are planning to upgrade even more go with the LGA 1150 (4th gen) for future upgrades.
If you will be satisfied with just a single CPU upgrade, stay with your mobo and upgrade to i7-3770/k like mentioned above. Pref. 3770

The thing is that I have a prebuilt PC and I don't know the motherboard model. In my area on Amazon, the i7 3770K is as expensive as an i7 4790K. Also the i5 3570K is more expensive than the i5 4690K. I would prefer a newer model that is cheaper it's more powerful and I heard they're ever easier to overclock. Also my motherboard is kind of an unknown one. There's no information about it on forums and the same about the i5 2320. I want to get more used parts so I find support on forums.
