Should I get a new monitor

So i have a 1600*900 60 hz 720p lcd monitor and i was wondering if i should upgrade to a 1080p with more hz becuause i want to play the newer games like overwatch, titanfall 2, bf1 etc, so do you think i should upgrade my monitor to play these games or can i just leave my monitor as is thanks in advance

Right now we don't know if your system can handle 720 much less 1080.
