Hi,

So I have what I consider a pretty darn decent gaming rig. However, I have been using it with TERRIBLE audio (i don't even want to know when these speakers were made).

So it's time to bite the bullet and get some speakers. So my questions are:

1. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, but want a good sounding set of speakers. What are some recommendations?

2. Would it be a good idea to get a sound card? I have a Z77A-G45A board and have been using the audio on that, but wonder if I should get a card and if that'll greatly improve the experience.

It should also be noted that I plan on getting a decent headset as well, that'll come after.

Thanks for the advice!

yeah after an evening of youtubing and reading opinions I'll probably opt out of the sound card....My on-board is probably sufficient, I'm just not seeing it because the speakers I have are extremely horrid....gonna start by getting a 2 speaker+wooofer speaker system going (suggestions?) and if I'm not happy with that I'll do it. Looking to get a mechanical keyboard too (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823816005) .... so I'd rather save money for that if I can :)
