Hi there,

I know my way around a computer, I built my own, but i'm not very good with audio.

I use my PC for playing games and currently use an artemis spectrum g933 headset wirelessly.

I have two questions.
1st: How do wireless headsets actually work? Do they have soundcards in the USB dongle and not use the onboard soundcard in the motherboard
2nd: my headset was quite expensive and thus, I imagine the audio it produces will be very good. Would I benefit from upgrading my soundcard and using an AUX cord to wire my headphones.

Any help is appreciated

Thank you!

Solution
I'd believe that the difference will be indistinguishable , as I think the g933 only has ~32ohm drivers and as such is not a high end listening headset. To warrant a sound card, (a good one, they aren't all equal), I'd think one would need a high end studio headset with higher impedence or planar, and the need to reduce interference from onboard components. Basically, the usb soundcard that comes with the g933 and onboard sound is already good enough, and an soundcard is not needed.

IMO
