should i get a soundcard

hi all! was just wondering if it would be at all beneficial to add a sound card for use with my wired pdp headset. the reason i ask is because it's both usb and 3.5, i'd assume the usb is for the mic and the lights but wasn't 100%. any input helps thanks!

I believe it is all sent through the USB on a PC.

well the usb does not produce audio, it seems to only power the lights and inline controls. it will not work with out the 3.5 jack.

Well the question is wether or not it will make a difference with the usb plugged in.
