Should I get a TN or IPS monitor for $200 more?

I am looking to buy a new monitor to suite my GTX 1080 better than a 60 hz 1080p. I have been looking at the ASUS MG279Q (https://m.newegg.com/products/24-236-466?iscoz=true) as it has all the specs I want. I was set on it, but now Newegg has a deal for the TN version (https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16824236593) for $200 cheaper. It has the same specs, except the panel. The IPS one was pushing my budget a little, but this is well within my budget. I've never used IPS before so I don't know what I'd be missing. I mostly play story and RPG games, like Shadow of Mordor (getting war when I finish the game), Subnautica, Hitman, ROTTB, etc. I sometimes play faster paced games like CSGO, or COD. I also watch a lot of movies and TV on my computer, and want to get into light content creation. What do you guys think I should get.

I know the difference between the panel types, I am just asking for the opinion of some more knowledgeable people than me.
