i7 3960x prosessor, 16gb memory,1 tb hard drive, asus sabertooth x79 and Corsair H100i Hydro Series CPU Cooling what do you think about thease specs plus 2x evga gtx 590 hydrocopper this pc is water cooled and 1050 watt corsair power supply.

So what is your budget? and why is it gtx 770 vs 2 590's? for 1 1080p monitor the 770 will be plenty... If you want more power i'd go with either the 780 or 780 ti... Depending on your budget... i'm thinking 2 590's + waterloop is going to cost you a bit more than the cost of the 770, so a budget would be helpful.

My budget is 3000 dollars and i chose the gtx 590s because gtx 590 is better than the gtx 780.

Wait your budget is $3000 for the video cards? No reason to even consider the GTX 590's..... Get 2 GTX 780 ti's ( even though 1 will be more than enough and even overkill at 1080p ) Stay away from the 590's... its a dual card and only has 1.5 gb of ram.

Oh and the GTX 780 out performs the gtx 590 by 10%+... Not sure where you are getting your info from....

My graphics cards doesnt cost 3000k my setup cost 3000k and the gtx 590 versions what i am considering are 3gb versions per each card and the gtx 590 is better than the gtx 780 results are here:http://www.hwcompare.com/14146/geforce-gtx-590-vs-geforce-gtx-780/

hardware compare is just theoretical. not really a good source. and in the games i could find and from memory the 780 is actually better. plus it has more video ram which is starting to use more than 1.5gb. those "3gb" cards split that between the GPUs making it two 1.5gb GPUs on the same board. not the best explanation but only half of the 3gb is technically useable

woah there! yes the 590 is more powerful than a 760 but I dont believe thats the subject at hand. I think the 590 is a really bad choice for a high end rig due to low VRAM and was trying to explain why and why the 780 would be a better choice. my rig is decidedly mid range and thats all I want from it so bash away for saving money!

As thdarkshadow said that site you used does not compare actual performance, if you look at benchmarks and game framerates the GTX 780 is about 10-20%(if not more) faster than the GTX 590 and also as he stated the gtx 590 has 3bg of ram but its 1.5gb per card (gtx590 is 2 gtx 580's on one PCB) so you only have 1.5gb of usable ram.
Take a look at this chart it shows the GTX 780 and GTX 590.

Well i was also considering 2x evga gtx 690 hydroopper editions gtx 690 should peform better than the 780 ti right ?

2x 780 ti will out perform 2x gtx 690. Remember the GTX 690 is a dual card already so if you get 2 of them its like quad sli... and you don't get the full scaling from sli'ing past 2... If you are considering 2x gtx 690... you would be better off getting 2x gtx 780 ti's for better performance and less hassle and the gtx 780 ti's will give you 3gb ram while the 690's will give you 2gb usable.

With 1080p gaming, a 780ti is more than youll need. It will play pretty much any game out there with everything turned to ultra, with average framerates close to 60. Going with 2 dual gpu boards, while it would be cool for bragging rights, is pointless unless youre going to be running with multiple monitors.

Scaling of GPU's any brand (NVidia/AMD), any model falls off VERY rapidly after two (2) cards. Check out any number of reviews. Also, in those reviews, support for four (4) GPU's is almost non-existent in games and buggy at it's best.

GTX590's are out of date & obsolete (as new cards are faster for less money). Not even sure where you could find ONE GTX590, let alone a pair....

As others point out, GTX 780 or 780Ti would be the recommended starting point for a new build....

And while GTX 690's are a current card, they would not be my choice for $2000. Dual GTX 780Ti's would crush them for about $600 less (before you bought any water cooler bits...)

I would never recommend anyone's 1st build is a custom water cooled loop system...
