Question 1 :
should i get i7 8700 for gaming or i5 8500, the difference between each cpu is 100$.

i am using it only for gaming on full hd 144hz.

i7 8700 maybe better for future proof ?
question 2 :
this year is full of announcement right now, maybe should i wait another 2 months ?
maybe intel will release another cpu with 8 cores that worth it ? ( i dont need ryzen )

maybe if i buy now , after month intel will release something i regret! i am sure they will make very decent cpus.
maybe i5 6 cores with 12 thread ?

Should i wait or what?

Solution
7700 was a good processor, i disagree with whats said but anyway.

9900k is the best gaming cpu out now.

8th and 9th gen require 300 series motherboards with 9th gen requiring a bios update on z370 and lower. z390 supports 9th gen out of the box.

Now regarding i5's, i wouldn't go with any of them. People are experiencing high cpu usages on i5 8500/8600/9600 and even 9700 at high refresh rates in demanding games like Ghost Recon, BF1, BF5, FC5, AC, list goes on. If you're pairing your system with a top end graphics card i would not go a single core cpu.

Example of what refresh rate does.

Search high cpu usages with the processors i've mentioned and you'll see them.

Imho, 8700/8700k or 9900/9900k would be my only two choices...

and what about
other question please ? :$:$

You'd wait to see if intel if going to release an 8 core that's worth it, and you don't need ryzen? How?

I am intel fanboy haha xD

And you think the 7700 was very bad?

Solution

not bad but look at his performance has droped to fast

so what happen when cpu ussage is 100% ?
although most game dont reaches 50 60% , buy the new games yes reaches high cpu.

but what actually happen when cpu is high ? stutter? or gpu bottleneck ?
if stutter i would fo for i7 , i hate stutter.

( what about to wait 2 months ? becuase i am busy now, i can wait if there is necessary
