system-
ryzen 3 2200G (stock speed, stock cooler)
gigabyte AB350 gaming 3 revx1
2x4gb adata 2400mhz
860evo 240gb + WD green 1tb
VS450 orange

usage-
i usually use it for reading articles, making notes, media and play games like CS:GO and Rust, very very rarely play a AAA title and dont mind low settings at all.

i build this when SSD and ram costed kidneys and spent 6100INR on Ram alone, current market price for same ram is 3400INR
so i been thinking to get 16gb ram add another 2x4gb adata 2400mhz to my existing system. (make 4x4gb 2400mhz)
will this improve day to day use ? or should i keep using 8gb as i am not facing any serious problems. Rust takes some time to load and would freeze if i try to minimize it (accidental windows key press) but its does that to much better builds too i can live with it.

-and no i cannot get 2x8gb 3000mhz i dont want to spend that sort of money also selling my current ram would be bit of work which i am not willing to do.
-i also dont have any plans of adding a GPU

so if 8gb is too hard on system gett another 2x4 or 1x8! maybe get 2666MHz bcs 2400MHz will not be as sufficient later so try future prrof by getting quicker ram!

so if i add a 3000mhz 2x4gb to my existing 2x4gb 2400mhz and assume it will work too, will i get any advantage of adding faster memory over just getting 4x4gb 2400mhz?

Here is a good example: Ok if you have 2400 mhz memory and 4000 mhz the 2400 mhz will not run at 4000 mhz so I would just recommend like 3000 mhz or sell the 2400mhz and buy 3000 plus mhz ram

What you should do is this
Sell your 2x4gb 2400 RAM
Buy 2x8gb 3200 RAM
Problem will be solved, don't mix ram you may end up not being able to use either
- NEW 16gb

i am not adding 3000 or 2666 or 3200 along my existing 2400mhz .. who adds different speed rams.

i am asking will 4x4gb 2400 will be significantly better than 2x4gb 2400mhz.. better in the sense that if its worth adding 2x4gb 2400mhz to my existing 2x4gb 2400mhz
