Should I get my own PS4?

So my little brother got a PS4 for his birthday last year. But he let's me keep it my room since I play it more (I have 20 days on Black Ops 3 Zombies if that's a clue). But recently he's been taking it to our Dad"s (I don't go), and it's usually when I have friends to play with or play the new DLC's Easter Egg. And he also didn't even play Destiny with my Dad when he went, he just played a little bit with his friends.
My Mom suggested maybe I get a PS4 Slim for Christmas, but I don't want overkill. But if he continues to go to Dad's and not allow me to play with my friends, I might rip my hair out.
However, if you recommend that I get the Slim, I might. Because I'm considering asking already.
I also have a Youtube channel and friends that are primarily on PS4 if that helps.

Solution

Get a PC.

Well it is his PS4, Sounds like you will want to purchase one yourself. If you dont need the added benefits of the PS4 Pro better hardware for better frame rates, native 4k support, you can wait until that launches and get the previous PS4 for a cheaper price (unless is already dropped) or the PS4 slim.

I don't plan on getting the PS4 Pro. I don't ever plan on going past 1080i/1080p (4K TVs are expensive). And I pretty much only play Black Ops 3, and I only notice some rendering issues (but I'm pretty sure that's just Black Ops 3 being Black Ops 3).

Okay stupid, did you read anything? My friends are primarily on PS4. I know PC is better (in some cases), but I really don't care.

No need to get agressive, at all.

If you want to just wanna play in normal resolution and not in 4k, i'd suggest getting a PS4 Slim instead of the Pro.
It's better than the normal PS4. As stated, you have already friends playing with the PSN so thats a go-go!

You can buy it already or wait for the Pro to make it go cheaper, your call, really.
But above all, don't feed this Console Vs. PC war. Just be happy with what you got ^^

Your sarcasometer is clearly broken. You should get a new one before you buy a PS4. And this question is really a "persoanl preference".
1.)Do you feel that you want a PS4 enough to perhaps not get other presents that you would want at christmas?
2.)Will you get much use out of it? - if you're not going to play it then what's the point, likewise if you will play it all day everyday the nget one.
3.)Will it be worth the money? - Or could you spend it in a better way (or even save it)
4.)What are your other options and what benefits do they have? - Xbox one, Custom built PC, Wait for the new PS4.
Obviously for you the PS4 is the best option as your brother and friends play it and you have some games already. I would say wait for the new PS4 which can run 4K (Correct me if im wrong) Which also means it will play 1080p games much better aswell.

Sorry about that, I have a grudge for people who's only reaction is to "get a PC." Apologies.
2. I plan on playing Battlefield 1, maybe Infinite Warfare. But if they add backwards compatibility for Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 1, I'll definitely be playing a heck of a lot more.
3. Yes, it'll probably be less than $300 (current price) around Christmas, so it won't cost too much.
I might get the PS4 Pro, but leaning toward Slim.
