So I play Overwatch and I recently invested in a new GPU to up my frames. Mainly because i felt that running my old GPU at 150 fps capped wasnt enough - it was during team fights it could lose upto 30 fps which feels terrible.

My setup -
144hz monitor
CPU - I5 6600K clocked at 4.1 doesnt show any signs of un stable at all.
GPU - 1060 6gb
Win 7/ also 10 i dual boot
Asus z170 - p Motherboard
Corsair 600w psu
( old gpu was a 960)

My CPU doesnt really act strange although i have noticed it starts at like 38 in game then goes up to 58 Celsius

i didnt think much of it, but i have change GPU 2 times and always same issue now, with fps drops, is it worth assuming my CPU is "off" or bad - and its OC so like im thinking is it possible I have slightly messed it up? and if yea likely should i get an i7 now?

Is it at all possible for CPU to be "bad" or worn out someway, without showing signs with temps?

If the voltage is too that that could damage the CPU, max voltage is 1.400V
