[SOLVED] Should I get small tv or pc monitor for display for computer ?

Bought a computer from someone off OfferUp and wind up having to get a vga to hdmi cord because I have an old outdated dell monitor with only a vga outlet. Now I can’t see the letters and icons at the bottom of the screen. I assume it’s because my monitor is outdated. When I right click on the desktop no graphics card option comes up. I have amd Radeon hd 7670.

Am I better of buying a 19 inch tv or pc monitor for my computer? Trying to find something affordable. Not a computer expert. Computer is amd fix-8120 eight core.

Since you are using the HDMI output. Even though it is converted to VGA. It seems that overscan is enabled. Adjust it or disable it in the AMD settings. If the seller never installed it. Download the latest from the AMD support site.
