I am a pc gamer but all of my friends are playing games on a ps4. I would really want to buy one and play with them but i don't know if it is worth. With the rumors of the new ps4K/ps4.5 and the playstationVR coming soon i am not sure if i should buy a ps4 right now or wait for the new gen consoles.
Any advice is apreciated.

Don't let a few friends dictate what you should buy. You'll make new friends on ANY platform, and you can still keep the ones on PS4 if you buy it later on when it's cheaper.

I also agree with what Hlsgsz said on the PS4 controller. The Dualshock 4 is one of the worst there is. That said, I don't really like ANY gamepad. They make you feel all thumbs.

It takes at least $700 to get an adequate gaming PC, but you DO save the difference in price from a PS4 over a few years just in the prices you can get the games for.

The only exception is renting at places like GameFly, but then you usually have access to only one game at a time, then returning vs owning it. Not really the same.

Also, no mods on consoles, which really sucks.
I am sure they already know that the pc is the king of gaming but they don't want to change. The main reason is that the ps4 and all consoles are plug and play unlike PCs which want a bit of effort to run everything smoothly. But the problem is i am bit sure what i should do. I will definitely not quit pc gaming (especially with BF1 coming) but i would like to play with my friends which are stuck to console gaming...

If you want to play with friends you might as well get a console if they wont switch.
Look at it this way, even if there is a new console coming out in the future (which there always is), that means nothing. I highly doubt they will all make the move to a new console.

Let the console peasants rot in their mud and play with other members of the master race instead. Also, have you tried playing with that silly contraption they call a "controller"? :))
