should i get used 1080 for 525 $?

hello guys should i get used 1080 for 450 euros (525$) or wait for the 1100 series. what`s your opinion on this i fear that when the new cards will come out that they will offer better performance for the same or better price. do you think the cards are around a corner or we will wait fot them another year or so.

in my country the same card (gtx 1080 rog) but new costs 650 euros (750$)

i know the seller he is my firend he was using this card for minningbut only for about 2 months. he bought the card on 1 of march and got warranty until 2021

Given that the new cards are on the close horizon, my suggestion would be to just wait. Personally speaking, I'm not too keen on buying any computer parts used because you have no idea how they were used and whether they were overclocked or not seeing you have to take the word of the seller as truth. Your opinion and that of others may vary.

No, I wouldn't shell out that amount for a 1080. Not sure how it is in Europe, but in the States, you can find them on sale new for a good bit less than that. As others have suggested, find out the use/quality of the card.

Well when i sell my 1050ti im gonna buy an rx580 which was used for mining and see how will it last long, sellers says under 70*C for 6 months and bonus is that he is close to my hometown.
Then Im gonna make an review.

yeah i hope so, the dx 12 also promides lower cpu usage then the dx 11 (im really curious when will games with dx 12 support that actualy helps the performance fianlly come out
