Question Should I go for 1660ti or wait for 1660?

I'm a 1080p gamer and I have 960 2gb for almost 4 years and it's not cutting it in the modern games anymore. 1660ti is around 300 euro where I live but maybe it's an overkill for me and I should wait for the regular 1660 that should be around 250 euro?

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? I'd say stick with the 1660Ti and never look back.

My PSU is OCZ 700W some good model, it's 10 years old but I'm not a power user.

the 1660ti is a good value, and if you are willing to OC it, it can get close to a 1070ti(stock) in performance. I don't think the 1660 is going to be as good of a value. The regular 1660 is probably going be at 1060 level performance,

It depends on your monitor's resolution and refresh rate (and if it has FreeSync, GSync, or neither) as to whether the 1660Ti is overkill or not, as well as what games you're playing.

But yeah, the 1660 is a bit of an unknown at this point. If you can live with turning down the settings and waiting until the new card comes out, I'd say do so. Likely as well, given that the 1660Ti is still pretty new, its price may come down a little with the passage of time as well.
