Should i go for 6850 instead of 6870

Hi guys................
here are my spec
1055t 2.8
880gm usb3
1333mhz ram Kingston
500gb wd
and my main problem is my Psu good enough ........i have cm extreme power 600w
so i ws planning to add hd 6950 but on other threads peaple mention its not safe to add that beast cause i wud oc cpu to 3.7 to 3.8 i have hyper 212+ ........so now i am also low on cash cause my 2 tb hdd broke in bike accident so i dropped and ws thinking to go for hd 6790 but i can opt for 6850 and want to know if i can oc it to work like a hd6870 or not..................................and if i had any 1 of these 2 wud i be able to oc stable ........and is there any software to tell accurate load on my psu or a tdp indicator.....and if i somehow burnt my psu wud i be warranted and does this explosion can cause any damage to my system................any advice wud be appreciated.

That PSU will be fine for a single HD69xx card even with CPU overclock.

Yeah, it should work, but I don't think it'd be safe to push the OC too hard with that PSU.

It is not the best of PSU's but you gain more from the stronger GPU than a higher overclock on your CPU.
I personally would exchange the PSU with something that has a stronger +12volt rail.

^That's exactly the problem with that PSU. Voltage regulation is not that good.

Thank U guys For all of your suggestions.......................and to inform u guys i didnt got a new psu ...........bt still arranging enough to buy HD6950 but still my ques wud b if i burnt my psu will i b eligible to claim warranty

what is your system resolution u using? depending on resolution, maybe you don't have to change ur psu and get the cheaper graphic card.

i have a 15 inch lcd and going to get 20 inch later so i know it wud be something between 720p and 1080p..........................thnx fr advice
