Should I go for a laptop or a desktop?

I want to buy a pc for gaming and programming. I was gonna get one with a pentium and a 1050 from pcspecialist, but I have noticed some gtx 1050 laptops around and have considered getting one of those. My current laptop is getting on a bit. What do you think?

a laptop for gaming is only enjoyable with a extra keyboard, mouse and a big monitor, that is pretty much a desktop

if you want to play, a desktop is a better experience, less noise and less heat in your hands

the laptop with the 1050 ad the desktop wiht the 1050, the price difference can be very big

I forgot to add, I would be willing to spend more on a laptop, but a desktop seems like a better idea.

I have two questions left

1 can I switch the 1060 3gb for a 1050 ti or rx 470?

2. Where should I buy the parts from?

1. Yes, you can, but you'll get heaps less performance.
2. All the places I listed above are the retailers you should buy from, apart from the CPU, get that one from Aria PC.
