Should I go for an IPS or TN monitor?

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if i should go with either TN:
http://
Or IPS:
http://
The Benq is currently on offer for £95 but I am wondering if there is any real difference between Benq and the LG (That was the cheapest IPS I could find, if you can find better please say). As you have probably guessed I'm on a tight budget, so I'm looking for the cheapest 1080p monitor I can find.

Thanks in advance,

EDIT: I'm not fussed about 144hz or whatever, 60hz will do just fine, I hardly ever play competitive fps so that isn't a problem for me.

you can gett better ips displays from asus ..

like this

or even better.. this

What would you say is a good contrast ratio? The TN seems to have 12M:1 while the IPS has 5M:1, assuming i've got that right.
Also do you think it is worth the extra £25 for the IPS?

happy upgrading :) and advanced merry christmas

Sorry to bother you again, but are you sure those ASUS monitors have IPS panels? They seem to say TN. :??: I AM a bit of a newb with PCs if you havent already noticed! 😀

where does it say TN?

I just had a look around the net and it seems to be TN, plus IPS doesn't usually have 1-2 ms. Oh, and it doesn't say IPS anywhere. I hope i'm wrong because if it is IPS I'll get it! :)
