Should I go for Corsair CX850M?

Hello everyone, I have a simple question.

Should I buy a Corsair CX850M PSU? I am asking because I'm not sure is that PSU bad or not... I've read many posts about it, how it's bad, how it's going to brick your system and it's not a decent PSU for high end builds... I don't get it, I can't really see anything bad about this PSU, maybe except it's 80 Plus Bronze... If I even can call that a bad feature... Everything else seems to be fine, it has 850W output power which is the thing I need. But those things like it will "brick" my system and it's not for high end builds are worrying me... So, if there is anyone else who had experience or who simply knows should I buy this PSU and is it okay or not, please tell me. Or if you can recommend me some PSU which is 850W and is at same price range.

Here's the link of the following PSU: http://www.corsair.com/en/cx-series-cx850m-850-watt-80-plus-bronze-certified-modular-atx-psu-na

Thanks!

The CX line is not the best. Not likely to 'brick' your system and, if it happens to fail, it has sufficient protection that it's highly, highly unlikely to take any other component along with it.

Efficiency rating is a poor indicator - quality components/protections throughout is what you're looking for in a PSU.

I believe that 850M is part of the 'revised' CX line (CX450 and others), rather than the 'original'. It's an improvement, but still falls a little short when compared to 'true' quality PSUs - especially at the pricepoint listed on Corsair's own site ($165 US!).

I'll take your word that you 'need' an 850W PSU (most single GPU setups need no more than 500-550W, with SLI/CF configs gettings a little higher at 750-850W ish)...

For a quality PSU at 850W, the EVGA SuperNOVA B2 850W is ~half the price of the CX850 on Corsairs site (admittedly, I can;'t find any retail listings for the 'new' 850, only the 'old' at $105).
