Should I go for RAID??

I have a Abit KT7A - R and i am thinking of buying a new ATA 100 HD to make a Raid configuration (RAID 0). Am I going to notice real difference in performance in common applications? (running Win Me)
In other words, i don't want to spend my money for less than 15% of overall performance increase.

Let's put it this way, you won't get any more fps in your games at all, but every program you start up will take about half the time to load. Not to mention you get all that extra space now.
