Currently at my home desk I have my work laptop and dock which has DisplayPort (DP) and my personal PC which has an RX 570 w/ DP. I'm feeding these into a DVI dual monitor KVM switch (IoGear) and 2 - 1080p 23" Acer monitors on their DVI ports. I've acquired a 4K 28" w/ 2 HDMI and 1 DP.
I'd like to get the full use from it but still have the KVM option. I'm wondering if I should get a DP KVM, since both devices have DP outputs. I would be feeding the 28" via DP and one of the 23" on its HDMI port. Or should I just get an HDMI KVM? What would be a reliable/stable dual monitor KVM?
I was looking at this KVM, but not sure about the reviews. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DLS2SP6/

What I've done before is plug the Display port 1.4 cables from the personal computer directly into the monitors.
Then have mouse, keyboard, and work display port into a KVM switch. The KVM switch converts from DP to HDMI into the monitors.
Monitors are set to auto input detection. This allows the monitor itself to switch from DP to HDMI depending on what is on.
