here is what is going on I have a asus h97 mobo that has 2 gpu slots but doesn't support sli so and I don't know a whole lot Radeon cards like what's good and what's not. I used to think that people who purchased amd cards worshiped satan but hey ill give it a go what do you think also 260$ my budget thanks

Solution
H97 boards are only set to support a single card.
The second slot runs in x4 mode, which will bottleneck any second card. SLI cant even be enabled on x4, but Xfire can. However it will be severely limited.
For 260 bucks:

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB Dual-X Video Card ($267.95 @ Amazon)
Total: $267.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (max at x4 mode, black) *1
You need to double check the PCI-E lanes on that motherboard your probably going to see one at X16 and the other at X4 so Xfire would not be a good option either.
Usally AMD gives you better bang for the buck at the cost of using more power.
