I'm thinking of buying an used Ryzen 3 for cheap price, i found some Ryzen 3 1200 and Ryzen 3 2200g, i will buy the GPU later (or maybe use the integrated one if that's applicable), which one is a good option for low end gaming like Minecraft, PC Building Simulator and video editing? I will use a 450w PSU, and i will buy an motherboard MSI A320M Pro-E.

Thanks.

AMD says AM4 is supported till' 2020.

Currently, you can upgrade to a 12 core on ANY AM4 motherboard with just a BIOS update.
If you decide to upgrade in lets say 3-4 years from now the upcoming 16-core 3950x will be dirt cheap even if AMD will have moved on on their next chipset.

Wow, if that's true maybe i buy that CPU in some years if the price is good, somewhat this is my first desktop and i've never used one. This is one reason i will buy an desktop, i can upgrade it later without much problems.

Well, even the $200 3600 ties an I7 8700k and will run pretty much anything. 3rd gen packs a serious performance punch, but i dont think you will be disappointed by the 2200g.

CPU performance may be a bit behind a 6700HQ, but the GPU will be many, many times faster.

Yeah, that's another reason, i can buy something cheaper and have better performance, i have a Ideapad 700 right now, so it has the GTX 950M (DDR3).

The gaming difference with Intel maybe at around 5 to 10% but it actually matters to those people that play on 144hz monitors. Since you are a budget gamer that doesn't matter to you. Ryzen also offers an amazing upgrade path. Imagine going your 4 core 4 thread 2200g to something insane like 24 core 48 thread in a few years if the 4000 series max out at 24 cores(you never know).

The problem is that i3 8100 is 146 euros whereas ryzen is 80 euros. I play PC building simulator too. (If I forgot to mention
In that case Ryzen makes more sense simply on a price to performance ratio. PC building simulator should be fine, I haven't tried it on my Ryzen 5 3600 yet but it ran great on my old FX 8350 CPU (was limited by my GTX 770 not the CPU).

That's good, when I have a bigger HDD I should probably play BeamNG too (I can only play on low settings on this laptop).

BeamNG is very dependent on single core performance, I doubled my FPS just from upgrading my CPU from the FX 8350 to the R5 3600. You should be able to play it hopefully at 1080p with a good frame rate at modest settings.

My 1200 @3.7 (close to a stock 2200g) and 580 are fine with BeamNG at 1080p. Some maps will be ok with high settings but some require me to turn settings down a tad. I am purely GPU bound, although the last update has seemed to hammer my CPU a little more than before.

You will need low settings to get BeamNG running well. It would have severe issues on any I3, but the 2200g should be ok with lowered settings.
