Should I have 16GB of RAM (instead of 8GB) or a Geforce GTX 950 (instead of GTX 950)?

I am building my first gaming pc and i have a budget of $650. To fit the budget i have a choice between a better graphics card and more ram. Please help!

With the price of Ram right now, there really isn't a reason why you wouldn't buy 16gb's. Post the parts and the prices you are looking at, and I bet there are places you could save money and be able to afford both.

You shouldn't need more than 8gb if you're just planning on playing games, if you can I'd recommend you try and push for a gtx 960 at least. But Swordkd's right, if you do enough digging you'll be able to find ram cheap enough that you can afford both 16gb ram and a better gpu, especially if you're going for ddr3 ram.
