Question Should I install a GPU on this Acer Desktop PC ?

A month ago I was given an Acer Aspire XC-704 and I was thinking about installing a GPU because it has a PCIe x16 slot but the problem is it's using power adapter.

What do you hope to gain by installing a discrete graphics card?

The n3700 processor is abysmally weak.
I have one in a laptop.

If you hope to play games a GT1030 low profile card is a 30w card and may do ok with the 65w psu.
Before you buy, try this test:
Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

I love modding PC's but watch this person do there best making it work with new GPU but just not happening. The guy got it all working but such low CPU + it's really a laptop in a desktop package. Skip to the end gaming sucks as he found out from all his work.

Wish there was better outcome.
