should i install drivers on the same harddrive the operating system is on

so i only have a 232GB ssd and a 1tb hard drive and was wondering which one is the proper one to install to or does it matter other than lossing space which is going to happen over time?

Drivers need to be installed on the OS drive. There is no option to install elsewhere.
