should i install windows 10 based on this

a few months back i upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 ultimate 64 bit(upgrade not fresh install) and after my keyboard and mouse would not work when a little loading circle comes up after installing everything tried everything and eventually had to send it off to be fixed and was without a pc fro a long time personally think it was drivers that were incompatible i may be wrong but that is my only guess that makes sense.now that a few months have gone past should i try to upgrade again or play it safe and stay on windows 7 because i would really like windows 10 but im scared it will mess up again.also if anyone has any other suggestions as to what my previous problem was and they are fairly certain about please let me know.

That's one problem I never heard of, was it wireless keyboard ? PS/2 ? Laptop ? USB ?

desktop pc,both usb devices,non wireless.
that was the second time it had happened,the first it just did it randomly and i mangaged to get it working after a couple days but that time was after windows 10 installation
