should I install Windows 7 SP1 Update

I already have windows 7 sp1 installed. When checkin for updates I got windows sp1 update.
Should I install it. Do I need it if I am running w7 sp1?

In general, I would let Microsoft Update itself automatically.

Some of the Microsoft specific updates are SECURITY to avoid your system getting exploited.

I would also setup a backup Image solution such as Acronis True Image.

Thanks for answer. Is it ok that windows is showing service pack 1 update while I have already w7 SP1?

As long as you are updating windows through the official Windows Update utility you should be fine with installing anything it recommends. Also, before any large service pack install Windows creates a restore point, so if anything ends up not working correctly you can always roll back to the previous restore point.
