Should i just go for 1060? or wait for 1070?

So i can buy 1060 right now, but in two months i can get the 1070, im using 1080p monitor btw.
Should i just go for it or wait?

i want to go to nvidia event, so the price is stable there. when is vega will release?

the gaming versions will be unveiled in the next month and u should have all the models a bit before this winter.

I would probably wait or the 1070, unless the rest of your system cant properly utilize a 1070. As said above prices of 1060, 1070, as well as rx 570 and 580 are all messed up due to the latest mining craze. And if bit coin value stays up I would expect all the vega cards to be bought up by miners immediately after they come out unless amd does something to prevent that, so it may be a while yet before you can get your hands on a vega card.

A 1080p 60hz monitor? Your cpu is good enough for a 1070. However if you are only playing at 1080p 60hz a 1070 will go to waste in most games as a weaker 1060 can max almost every game or come very close at 1080p 60fps. If you plan to upgrade to a high refresh rate 1440p or 1080p monitor in the future then the 1070 might still be worth it.

Just remember... there's really no such thing as overkill. Just because a card is able to max out today doesn't mean it won't be struggling tomorrow on a new game.
