Should I just pick up an MSI GTX 980 instead of 980 TI?

So I've found one from TigerDirect for $355(after rebate+Visa) and was wondering if it's worth it to just pick this up instead or is the 980 Ti that much better that I should just pick that up? I'm also planning to pick up the Acer x34 Predator the moment it drops below $1000 which runs at 3440x1440p and can be overclocked up to 100hz.

I'm also using a mini-itx case so I have no room to pull off an SLI or anything. Thoughts?

Solution
The GTX980ti is significantly faster and is probably what you need for a high res monitor.
If your budget permits, buy the stronger card.
If you go cheap, you will forever be second guessing yourself.
As you haven't got any room for SLI I would go with the fastest single card you can afford. I would go with the 980 ti because of the increased VRAM and this video ram buffer would help at the higher resolutions.

Yeah that is true. Probably the last thing I'd want is a card that can't handle the monitor properly.

Hm... you have a point there. The second guessing myself would highly arise. Thanks guys! Looks like I'll just dip another $200+ in to get the 980 ti instead.
