Should I keep my i5 4440?

Hi,

I ordered an 4440, now that I got it installed in my system the 4670k dropped to the same price as the 4440 (using coupons). I can still trade the 4440 in and buy the 4670k. I would have to take out my 4440 and buy some stuff to clean the thermal paste and cause I just build my first system and I'm not a very techy guy I'd rather not.

So would it be worth it to get the 4670k? I plan on running this cpu (4440 or 4670k) for another year or so and then get a broadwell i7. Would the 4440 be enough to run games like GTA 5, batman arkahm knight and AC:Unity maxed@1080p? I currently have a gtx 770 or would the 4670k really change things?

I would definitely get the 4670k instead, since you can OC it better.

Any current i5 will be able to handle any current GPU in most games for the foreseeable future unless you want to drive a 90+Hz display.

Do you have a Z97 motherboard first? If not, then no.

forgot to mention I got a msi H87m-e33 mobo. Don't know if I can OC with it but I think there are OC options in my BIOS. If I can I'll maybe OC a bit on the stock cooler.

No then no point of getting an i5 4690k. You need also a Z97 to overclock.
Your cpu is locked so overclocking is not doable.
