Im a casual computer user, I play video games, I watch shows and movies in VLC, I browse through Youtube, Facebook and some other sites with Chrome, I listen to music and from time to time I clean up my computer with Glary Utilities + I check ocasionally if I have any malware with a MalwareBytes AntiMalware, every now and then I use some of the tools from Microsoft's Office and thats pretty much it, I have heard that JAVA is pretty much unstable and unsecure and should be removed from your computer, what is your opinion on that? Is it essential for the things I do or not?

Hmm, isnt that JavaScript? I think Java and JavaScript are totally two different things, they only share the name, but I could be wrong though. Well, do you have Java installed on your computer?

I run Java on every computer I own, and every work system I work on has had Java, including old versions which ARE security holes and are actually blocked by some browsers.

If you have the latest version of Java on the system, it's no more of a risk than anything else on the computer. Most issues are actually caused by Flash or Adobe products like Reader.
