Just got a new alienware M17 r2 . The stock set up is two 512 NVME in raid 0 set up. Baught two firecuda 510s, 1tb nvme ssd's to replace the 512s. Should I do another raid 0 set; up or is performance gain not worth it and possibly catastrophic failure if one drive fails? Internet Forums not providing very much on details and specs or what is the best option for gaming on SSD nvme with raid 0 vs AHCI. Thanks.

If it's just for games you should set them up in RAID 0 to get a little speed benefit. And yes, if one drive fails then your data is all gone - but if it's just games then you should be fine. And besides you still have the 1TB NVMe and the other two 512 NVMe's to use for important file storage.
But do you have an AMD or Intel build?

If you had AMD, you could tier each HDD to one of the 512GB NVMe and you would get major boost in performance. And if you add RAM caching that's even more speed.
