Hi,just made a fresh installation of windows 10 and everything works good, much faster than before, and I don't know if I should modify the pagefile, here are my settings(before had like 3-4 minutes of lag after closing a game and high memory usage but now no problem at all, pressing the windows button has like 1 second or less delay not like the 10 second delay)
I use D: drive for gaming only
and C: for steam(keep games on D),windows etc

Buy your 8gb stick with the same speed voltage and cas of your current stick.
If it works with your current 4gb, then fine, now you have 12gb. If not, then you will need to be satisfied with 8gb and
More experience in ram compatibility.

As to the page file, let windows handle it.
Manipulating the page file size was marginally effective in the days of 32gb ssd devices to save ssd space.
No longer an issue .
Today, you are unlikely to get any benefit, and are more likely to hurt your performance.

Instead of adjusting that I would really recomend that you at least have 8GB of ram. I MIN use 8GB of ram or you get those lag spikes and so on. 4GB is just not enough. In most of my computers I have 16GB as the min (a few have more) BUT 16GB is a good spot to be in. OR if you cant afford it then 8GB is min.

Adding an 8 to the existing 4 may or may not work.
Mixing RAM sticks is always a crapshoot.
It may be better with just the 8GB.

And still, leave the pagefile as system managed.

If you were going to 16GB or above RAM, then you might change it.
In your current situation...just leave it.
