Recently, I purchased an AMD Ryzen 5 1600x with an ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F (Motherboard) and a Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4.

I started overcloking, and achived a 4.1 Ghz at 1.5V and the max temp with prime 95 was aroung 65C. I read on other tread that any voltage over 1.45v can affect the longevity of your processor. I plan on keeping this processor for at least 5 years.

Is it very bad if i go over 1.45v even if the temp are below the thermal limit ?

I would say a big yes...Anything over 1.375 is too much for me even to contemplate..though I'm a scardy cat! Most will say anything over 1.4v for long term use is asking for trouble...I'm sure better people than me will chime in with there thoughts but this is the best answer I can give you.

To be honest 3.4ghz and 4.1ghz are really good speeds for gaming you dont need to pressure your cpu more by overclocking it more! Along as your gaming experience is fast and good you dont really need to overclock it! more
