Should i overclock?

I have a GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme and I'm so tempted to overclock.
Do you go to hell for overclocking after you die?

In order to enter PC Master Race Heaven you must overclock every component to the absolute max. 😀

On a serious note, tons of people overclock their GPUs and it doesn't hurt anything. What are the rest of your system specs including monitor?

Do you have a need for overclocking? Are you not happy with its performance and want to get more out of it? Do you just like knowing that you have an overclocked system for no compromises?

If yes to any of those questions, then go ahead and overclock. It won't harm the card, it may just reduce its lifespan a little (not saying much since you'll probably upgrade from it before it dies). I overclocked my 1070 founders just because I could and saw some minimal performance gains.

Yup, you'll burn and sit just right next to Gabe Newell.

Read a few tutorials beforehand, make sure you got a decent PSU, download MSI Afterburner, do small and steady increases, profit.

I know nothing about hell or heaven. But I do know you need a quality PSU if you want to overclock. Make sure you do have one before you try.
