I am planning to buy a new gaming PC . On Amazon India there is a deal on an I5 2400achine with 8 GB ram, 1tb HDD and an H61 mobo . I was thinking about pairing it with an Rx 470 . But I am worried about the bottlenecking in games . So should I buy the 2400 machine with the 470 ? I mainly want to play Overwatch , CS GO , GTA V , Crysis 3 and other AAA titles for at least a few years ?

Solution
That's a fair point, prior to the optimizations of the directx12 API I would have said the i3 7100 was still better in multithreaded applications than the i5 2400. Now though, I'm not so sure that's true. But at the very least with the i3 you have a viable upgrade path.
Are you interested at all in building your own? It's actually quite easy, and doesn't take more than a few hours to do.

There is a site called PC part picker

https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/

You can use it to craft a custom build, and it takes a lot of the guess work out of things by automatically checking for compatibility. You should have a look at it while you're waiting on feedback.

I do know about it . I know how to build a PC . But i am just saving money. So that's why I am considering the pre built .

Something like this would be nice,

PCPartPicker part list: https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/wQNtHN
Price breakdown by merchant: https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/wQNtHN/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i3-7100 3.9GHz Dual-Core Processor (₹10540.00 @ Amazon India)
Motherboard: Asus B150M-C D3 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (₹5284.53 @ Amazon India)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (₹3999.00 @ Amazon India)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (₹3727.00 @ Amazon India)
Video Card: VisionTek Radeon RX 470 4GB Overclocked Video Card (₹13323.72 @ Amazon India)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD/CD Writer (₹990.00 @ Amazon India)
Case & PSU: Enter Nexus ATX/Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer/PC Case E-CB5A With 500W Power Supply (₹1300.00 @ Amazon India)

Total: ₹39164.25

A little bit higher than what you want to pay, but the difference in performance is worth it I think.

It is good but don't you think a true quad core would be better?
