Should I pay another $350 to go from 970m to 980m?

I've been debating this for a long long time, it seems that both are great options. I have the money to buy the 980m although I'm a little hesitant to pay so much money for a gaming laptop. It's my first time. Will I really see an improvement and will it pay off at the end when newer games demand more power?

i forgot to add the laptops: http://www.sagernotebook.com/Notebook-NP8651.html

1. Games like Black Ops 3, the witcher 3, batman Dark knight, Star citizen, CS GO, SWTOR, and any of the AAA games.

2. Not too crazy about that. I don't want the difference to be very noticeable.

3. No. I would like to play on medium to high settings at least.

I just noticed that the 980m one has an IPS screen while the 970m one does not.
