Hello. i am about to build a new pc. For the final step i want to ask which ssd should i buy.

First of all i have the Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI motherboard. And the use i want this particular ssd is for installing the os ( windows ) so it can be snappier and some small games like dota, lol,cs go so they can start super fast and have no delay.

The ssd are
1)M.2 Samsung SM951 128GB NVMe (read speed 2000 MB/x, write 650 MB/s) 110 euro
2)Pcie Plextor M6e 128GB PCIe Black Edition (read speed 770 MB/x, write 355 MB/s) 115 euro

Which will be faster? The M.2 or the Pci? I think the M.2 will be but i wanted to be sure so i dont do anything stupid, because i read that the pci are the fastest.

Thanks a lot guys i am waiting for your answers.

Solution
that will depends on the ssd in question. if you put the m2 above in a PCIe adaptor card, then the paths used by each would be the same. the ssd on the plextor is, the actual chips themselves, slower than the chips used on the samsung.

think of it like this. the samsung is like a 10,000 rpm hard drive, the plextor is like a 7200 RPM. even though the bus (pcie) they are connected by is the same speed the faster rotation (read/write speed) on each drive (memory chips) are what actually determine the speeds acheived.
get the ssd with the fastest chips and the interface will not matter.
referring here to pcie or m2. both will be faster than a SATA ssd.
m2 depending on the implimentation has access to the PCIe, SATA, and the USB 3.0 bus. the m2 should be just as fast if not faster than a pcie card
the m2 has the better specs. be aware several threads have been opened about cooing m2 SSDs. the consensus is to get raspberry pi heatsinks and affix them to the ssd. the m2's will thermally throttle so keeping them cool will keep up the speed.

so M.2. ok that good to know.also thanks a lot for the tips One last thing...
1)Should i buy a motherboard with u.2 or it wont any difference?
2) if i wont connect it at the port of m.2, but put it in a pcie controller and connect it at a pcie directly will i have benefits or it will be still the same?
