I'm looking for a new headset to purchase as mine just broke recently, and I'm wondering if this headset would be a good purchase. Also if there is a difference then the BF4 version and the regular version.
The only difference between the two is branding, the sound is the same. Razer goes for more flashiness and less sound quality. Creative, Corsair, Logitech, and Steelseries all make nice headsets that often have better sound quality and durability than Razer. Steelseries' Siberia V2 is a great headset all around, and you can find one for a price similar to the BlackShark.

Give the Superlux HD681 a try too. Good soundstage and imaging, my friends use them while playing counter strike. Doesn't isolate well, is uncomfortable and does not look good, but the price justifies it.
Well, sound isolation is pretty important, and so is comfort. Gaming headsets are essentially high quality headphones designed for comfort and appearances, plus they usually have a mic, all fairly mandatory things. I don't want headphones that I have to take off after a couple hours because they're uncomfortable.
