Should I put a certain Gpu in a regular workstation pc?

Hello, so I have come to give my friend some advice on getting a graphics card for his pc. He is currently running a AMD A8-5500 apu @3.0Ghz for his cpu. He is wanting to play games such as crysis 2 and arma 3 on high settings. I need a little more of an expert opinion before I recommend him a card. So my questions are :
Will his cpu bottleneck this card? Or could it even get decent preformance on arma 3 or crysis?

note : I still need to check what psu he has to make sure he can handle the needed power, and his cpu hasnt been overclocked yet

The A8 will run those games, although the video card is a bit over what the CPU can run along with it.
I'd go a step or two bellow the R9 380, R7 360 should be plenty to run with the A8. I would not expect high settings with the A8 on demanding games with smooth play.

I concur, and chose the above as a solution. A8's aren't particularly strong processors but will do the job. The key is to build a balanced system, where one component is not waiting too long on another.
