Should I put windows 8.1 on my ssd or hd?

I just built a new computer and I am wondering if I should put windows onto the ssd or hd. I have a 2tb HD and a 256gb ssd. Someone told me that it won't make a difference and I should just put windows onto the hard drive. I am not sure if he is right and would like a few other opinions thanks.

Definitely on the SSD! Faster boot times and snappier overall system response.
