Should I really get an SSD??

I was thinking about getting one.....

I did finally setup Raid 0 between WD blue 1tb and old hitatchi desktar 1tb......

and you know I'm surprised there is some performance increase....

It's only load times that improve. SSD's are good for putting yr OS and/or slow loading games on.

I bought a SSD, and it is great not having to wait long for anything to load. So personally I have a hard time using a PC without one. I also got it on sale. In the US on Newegg.com they are having SSD sales so you migh want to check it out. I got a 240 GB one for $100. SO basically if you can get a good price, with a decent amount of storage space its worth it.

So if you have extra money, and weren't planing on something like a GPU upgrade or something else, the SSD would be a nice addition. But make sure you get a good price per GB SSD. Look at the read and writes in the specs, then if you think you are getting it check a review to see if it actually gets the advertised reads, and writes.

Be careful though for sometimes the advertised Reads/Writes are exaggerated and are taken from unrealistic test. My SSD is the Mushkin Chronos 240 GB, the advertised Read/Write is 550MB/s by 515 MB/s but in the normal use you and I do it only gets about 200 MB/s so again make sure to look at review of each on Youtube and such. While 200 MB/s is still a lot faster then a HDD you still want the best value for you're dollar. Also don't go under 200 GB, trust me they can fill up quick, also you don't want to fill them up 100% of the way since when at like 90% full they start to lose speed.
