[SOLVED] Should i reapply thermal paste?

I applied a new thermal paste, installed the cooler, noticed a screw wasn't placed correctly, unistalled the cooler, and then installed it again without reapplying the paste. I dont have anymore paste left, (just a little but not enough), should i buy a new one and do everthing again? Or it doesnt really make a difference?

Doesn't make a difference.

Some people might say that it matters, but as long as you didnt wipe it, or it got smudged on something, it's totally fine, and there were tests to check this.

What do you mean with smudged on? The paste went from a little ball (i used the "dot method") to flat, and then when i removed the cooler it had all those little "waves", but it didnt go on the motherboard

I ment like, if the paste that was left on the bottom of the cooler after you removed it touched anything before you put it back.

Ooh nono it didn't touch anything, just changed the position of a screw and put it back in
